Catherine Gibson to step down as Chief Executive

Kerrin M. Vautier, chairperson of Chamber Music New Zealand Trust announced today that “it is with regret that the CMNZ Board advises that Catherine Gibson has resigned as CEO to take up a new role as Chief Executive at Orchestras Central Trust. A search process for a new CEO for CMNZ will now commence.”
On reflecting on her time at CMNZ , Catherine says the organisation “is in good heart and I am proud to have been part of Chamber Music New Zealand for seven and a half years, with the past two as Chief Executive. This was a hard decision to make and very much a personal choice in consideration of my future priorities. I would like to thank the Trustees and the CMNZ staff and volunteers right around the country for their commitment to championing chamber music in New Zealand. To all our stakeholders and loyal audiences, thank you for your continuing support and generosity. I wish everyone the very best and hope to see some of you in my new CMNZ persona as an enthusiastic audience member at the next CMNZ Hamilton concert.”
