The Heath Quartet and storyteller Chris Lam Sam will take listeners on the musical journey through time through the eyes of a string quartet. The programme will include music composed by “Papa” Haydn, the father of the string quartet, through to New Zealand composer, Gareth Farr’s piece Te Kōanga – a new composition evoking the sounds of Aotearoa.
These concerts, offered in Wellington and Dunedin, are a unique opportunity for families and students to have a ‘close encounter’ with a world-class ensemble.
These concerts are designed for 8-12 years old, but everybody is welcome. Entry is FREE and open to both schools and general public. Planning a school visit or have questions? Email us.
