The Piano is a world class facility for New Zealand and a home for music and the arts in Canterbury. Owned and operated by a Charitable Trust, the trustees vision is that The Piano will be a vibrant and vital component of our cultural and social fabric for Christchurch. It will contribute to the arts and cultural community improving lives and strengthening our community through catalysing and engendering a broad range of opportunities for engagement in music and the arts.
PARKING and TRANSPORT
Parking options change frequently in Christchurch at present. Currently there is open parking on the south corner of Manchester & Gloucester Streets. The Christchurch City Council and Wilsons Parking both have information about where to park in Christchurch. Within a 400 metre radius metered parking is available on Armagh Street, Colombo Street, Manchester Street, Oxford Terrace, Cambridge Terrace and Madras Street. A car-park building is proposed for the Performing Arts Precinct.
