The Concert Chamber is adjacent to the Great Hall within the Auckland Town Hall complex and seats a maximum of 431 patrons over two levels. Also renowned for its acoustics, this is the preferred venue for those entertainers whose art form lends itself to a more intimate setting.
Parking and Transport
The Civic car park is the ideal option when attending a show in the Aotea Centre. On busy nights consider using alternative parking buildings such as the Atrium on Elliott or Victoria Street car parks. For further information about Auckland City car parks visit the Auckland Transport website.
Civic Car Park
Conveniently located directly below Aotea Centre. You can purchase pre-paid parking vouchers for the Civic car park but please be aware you must have your show ticket with you when you enter the Civic car park. Payment machines accept credit cards, cash and EFTPOS. After parking your vehicle please pre-pay at any of the ten payment machines to avoid queues after your show.

The nearest taxi rank is on Wellesley Street however all taxis will pick up and drop off passengers directly outside the Town Hall.

Staff are always on hand to provide seating and assistance to patrons with mobility issues. A combination of lifts (elevators) and ramps ensures that all levels of the Town Hall can be accessed by wheelchair users or patrons who have difficulty climbing stairs. Within the Auckland Town Hall, there is a glass lift that can be found in the central atrium.
Hearing loops are available in both the Great Hall and The Concert Chamber in Auckland Town Hall. Patrons are required to switch their hearing aids to "tele" to use it. Please contact Ticketing on 09 357 3355 for advice of the best seats with coverage.
At the Venue
Located within the Town Hall, Deutz Bar is open prior to performances and offers a range of house and premium beverages, along with snacks and ice-creams.
Box Café and Bar
Located on the terrace of the Aotea Centre, Box Café and Bar offers great coffee, delicious sweet and savoury cabinet food and a selection of local and international wines. Patrons also enjoy free Wi-Fi and bookings can be made for groups.
Stark’s Café and Bar is located in The Civic, on the corner of Queen and Wellesley Streets, and café food and drinks as well as cocktail selections before and after shows.
Open every day and conveniently located close to the Auckland Town Hall at 9 Durham Street, Mezze is a popular choice among diners and serves a range of Mediterranean inspired tapas as well as larger meals and sweet treats. Espresso and a good wine selection are also available. Mezze is also a good option for vegetarian and vegan diners.
Citizen Q is located on Queen Street beside the Town Hall within the Q Theatre. The venue offers a varied selection of small sharing plates as well as larger meals, beer, wine, cocktails and coffee.
Located at 319 Queen Street, Tanuki’s Cave Yakitori Bar serves a wide range of Yakitori skewers and other Japanese delicacies. Wash it down with their extensive selection of Japanese spirits and beers.
