Finn Butler, from Logan Park High School in Dunedin, is the winner of the 2010 SOUNZ prize in the Original Composition section of the NZCT Chamber Music Contest.
Mr Gengerella, for violin, flute, and piano, tells the story of the internal conflict within the title character's mind, explains the composer.
Finn's winning composition will be performed by his own group 'Shady Groove' at the National Final on Saturday 31 July at 7pm, Wellington Town Hall.
