To celebrate their 30th Anniversary in 2008, the Waikanae Music Society established a charitable trust to recognise promise and commitment in New Zealand by music students up to and including the age of 29 years. The Trust's aim is to foster their love of chamber music through granting awards and/or scholarships.
This is the third year that the Trust is offering awards for education or performance development from applicants who are New Zealand citizens under the age of 30. The awards this year are up to $2,000 each.
Further information and application forms are available for download on the Young Musicians Trust section of the Waikanae Music Society website.
The closing date for 2011 applications is Friday 28 October.
