Chamber Music New Zealand Afternoon Tea and Concert for the 2011 Earthquake Appeal

2 March 2011

Chamber Music New Zealand Afternoon Tea and Concert

Elegance, style, and relaxation are all synonymous with the very English tradition of afternoon tea – as are sandwiches, scones, jam, and lashings of cream.

Chamber Music New Zealand is delighted to invite you and your friends to an afternoon of refreshment and music on Monday 14 March in Wellington. This will be a rare opportunity to hear the Antipodes String Trio, an emerging ensemble featuring two of New Zealand’s leading young string players – Christabel Lin (violin) and Nicholas Hancox (viola), along with one of the USA’s most outstanding young cellists, David Requiro. The dynamic ensemble have crafted a wonderful programme of vibrancy and virtuosity, featuring a selection of music by Schubert, Beethoven, and Douglas Lilburn.

Update: following the earthquake in Christchurch on 22 February, all proceeds from this event will now be donated to the earthquake relief fund. We are grateful to the West Plaza Hotel for their assistance.

So come along, find a seat with old or new friends, and enjoy the wonderful food and music in a relaxed environment.
