After a full day of rehearsal and performance from 12 of the best young chamber music ensembles across the country this year's 6 National finalists of the 2012 NZCT Chamber Music Contest are

This year's National Final adjudicators are the NZTrio. Before announcing the finalists pianist Sarah Watkins acknowledged all of the semi-finalists, "It has been a wonderful day of incredible music making and it is astonishing to see the level of playing given the difficiulty of repertoire being presented. Congratulations to all involved."
The 6 finalist groups will perform on Saturday 4th August at the Auckland Town Hall with the National winners being announced at the close of the concert.
