NZCT Chamber Music Contest National Finals

Wednesday, 15 August 2018

It was an electrifying and impassioned finale of the NZCT Chamber Music Contest which took place in Christchurch on the 3rd and 4th of August. From hundreds of ensembles nationwide, only 12 groups made it through to the National Finals weekend. The adjudicators were left with an incredibly tough decision, reducing the 12 fantastic groups, to just 6 for the grand final. In the end, Te Ahi Kaa took out the top spot, winning the NZCT Chamber Music Contest 2018, and Benjamin Sneyd-Utting was the winner of the 2018 Senior Original Composition award. If you missed the action, check out all the performances below, including the winners!
