The Australian Festival of Chamber Music is a paradise for chamber music lovers. Held in the tropical winter warmth of North Queensland, it presents a world class program of concerts, conversations and masterclasses performed by some of the world’s best chamber musicians.

Festival Artistic Director Piers Lane AO said the 2017 program covers a wider range of music than ever before. It features rare, new and much loved repertoire ranging from Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto to new works such as Jake Heggie’s Pieces of 9/11.

A line-up of 42 extraordinary artists will perform at the event, including 13 from overseas, and three leading Australian ensembles. Part of the huge appeal of AFCM is the innovative programming - often the musicians have never played together before or will again. The result is wonderful spontaneity and a unique level of excitement both on and off the stage.

A variety of ticket options are available including whole or half Festival passes and holiday packages.
