Matariki 2019 - Call for Proposals

Matariki 2019
Call For Proposals

Applications close Thursday 31 May 2018

Do you have a group of artists that would like to perform a series of concerts that celebrate Matariki, Māori New Year?

Chamber Music New Zealand (CMNZ) is seeking proposals for a series of concerts in June/July 2019. As part of your application the group will need to explain your concept for the performance, the personnel involved, the repertoire that will be performed and any other elements. Past performances have included chamber music, taonga puoro, storytelling, poetry and dance to explore the themes of Matariki. You will need to outline your concept for a 1hr performance.

The intention is for performances to be in spaces such as museums and galleries that are accessible to all New Zealanders, and the group of performers should not be too large for practical reasons.

Refer to this outline of the project for further details.

If you have any questions, please contact Sue Jane: sue@chambermusic.co.nz
