Bequest How To's

How do I leave a gift in my Will to CMNZ?

There are several ways you can make a gift:

A specific sum or % of your estate

  • You gift a nominated sum or overall percentage of your estate

Residue of your estate

  • A gift of part or all of the residual balance of your estate after gifts have been provided to family and friends

Specific Gift

  • A gift of a particular items, assets or property that you wish to leave for the benefit of CMNZ

How to make a Will

You can speak to your solicitor or trustee company about making a will or changing your exisiting will to include a gift to Chamber Music New Zealand. If you already have a will, you may be able to draw up a codicil (an addition or amendment) which is an easy process.

Your solicitor will need to know the full name of the organisation you wish to be a beneficiary (Chamber Music New Zealand Foundation) and your registered charity number: CC34589

Preferred Wording

I give to the Chamber Music New Zealand Foundation (% of estate, the residue of my estate, sum of money, or description of property or assets) for general purpose, for which the receipt of an authorized officer of the Foundation shall be a full and sufficient discharge of my trustees.
