Programme One features one of the giants of the Romantic repertoire – Schumann's Piano Quintet in E flat, breathtaking in its scope and emotional range. This is balanced by a Classical Haydn string quartet, and a twentieth-century masterwork. Exquisite solo piano works pay homage to Chopin two hundred years after his birth.
