Aroha String Quartet are firmly established as one of the finest chamber music ensembles performing in New Zealand today.
Founded in 2004 by four world-class Chinese professional musicians in their newly adopted country, this versatile ensemble are known for their passionate musicality, impressive technique, and multicultural innovations. In 2009, well-known cellist Robert Ibell joined the ensemble.
In August the quartet will make its first overseas trip, to attend the ISA International Chamber Music Festival in Reichenau, Austria. Following the Festival they have been invited to give concerts and workshops in Guangzhou and Zhongshan, Canton, China.
