Chamber Music New Zealand is the largest presenter of top quality chamber music concerts throughout the country.
We exist to develop, nourish, and support New Zealanders to create and experience live chamber music.

Our chamber music activities are divided into three strands:
The Encompass strand includes all the concert performances that we present around the country.
It is made up of the Kaleidoscopes Concert Season which tours to 10 centres throughout New Zealand. In the North Island these centres are: Auckland, Hamilton, New Plymouth, Napier, Palmerston North and Wellington, and in the South Island we tour to Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill.
The season aims to showcase superb professional artists from around the world, including New Zealand. Artists vary in nationality and style, presenting programmes ranging from well-loved classics to challenging contemporary works. All share a high reputation for virtuosity and vitality.
In addition to our Kaleidoscopes concerts the Encompass Regional Concerts feature emerging, mid-career and established New Zealand artists touring through our regional presenters in 25 centres from Kaitaia to Gore. Each year we select eight to ten artists/ensembles to be part of the touring roster that we offer out to our regional presenters.
Through Encompass we commission new works, support innovative ensemble projects and encourage artistic breadth and depth.
Encounter incorporates all of our life-long learning activities such as the annual secondary schools NZCT Chamber Music Contest, regular free pre-concert talks and music workshops, masterclasses and open rehearsals.
Also included in this strand are our outreach projects, such as our relaxed performances, and special events like our Matariki and family concerts. In the Community
Encore is Chamber Music New Zealand's Supporter Programme.
As a not for profit organisation committed to sustaining a high level of excellence in all we do, we depend on the generosity of individual donors who make it possible for us to provide essential and pivotal musical experiences for all New Zealanders.
